The One Fitness Club in Bagneux marks the launch of a collaboration between HMY and this rapidly growing new fitness brand. For this first project, our mission was to carry out part of the club’s fit-out in accordance with the client’s specifications, whilst optimising the spaces to meet the site’s technical and operational constraints.
Through an integrated approach combining technical design, engineering, manufacturing and installation, HMY supported the client at every stage of the project to create a functional gym designed with the member experience in mind.
The challenge: Designing a modern and dynamic fitness club
The objectives and requirements of One Fitness Club
The success of the project relies on efficient organisation and close support. Throughout the project, One Fitness Club benefited from a single point of contact capable of coordinating all stakeholders and monitoring every phase of the fit-out.
This approach streamlined communication, accelerated decision-making and ensured perfect alignment between the client’s expectations and the solutions implemented.

The importance of a design centred on the sporting experience
The HMY design office played a central role in bringing the project to fruition. Its involvement ensured that the layout complied with the specifications whilst providing technical and functional recommendations tailored to the club’s needs.
The reception area perfectly illustrates this approach. Building on the concept devised by the client, the design consultancy adjusted and optimised the layout proposals to meet the site’s practical constraints, whilst retaining the visual identity and spirit of the original concept.
This ability to adapt resulted in a design that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional, whilst meeting the expectations of One Fitness Club.
The bespoke layout solutions implemented by HMY
Strategic layout of the training zones
The One Fitness Club brand is built on a strong visual identity, inspired by the industrial and urban aesthetics defined by the brand.
As part of the club’s fit-out, the HMY teams implemented several design elements to faithfully capture this aesthetic. Among these, repainted cladding panels create a particularly striking ‘container’ effect. This choice, integrated in line with the concept, adds character to the space whilst contributing to the visual structuring of the different zones.
Visual communication elements have also been incorporated to enhance the identification of spaces and improve member navigation. HMY also designed the cladding for ‘The Dock’ area using vertical metal elements positioned at the entrance to this space. This design clearly signals the area whilst blending into the club’s industrial aesthetic.
The overall design helps to create an immersive and dynamic environment, perfectly in line with the values of fitness and pushing oneself to the limit.
Integration of state-of-the-art furniture and sports equipment
A key element of the customer journey, the reception furniture contributes to the quality of the experience from the moment guests arrive at the club.
In line with the brand’s concept, HMY created the reception desk and the display units integrated into this space.
This bespoke fit-out includes, in particular:
- a functional reception desk designed to facilitate interaction with members;
- a display cabinet designed to showcase the products sold by the gym.
Thanks to the optimisation work carried out by the design office, these elements blend seamlessly into the reception area whilst meeting the club’s operational needs and the brand’s visual identity.
