Retile Floor: the sustainable trade fair flooring transforming the events industry

At a time when sustainability is becoming a strategic priority for brands and event organizers, HMY Group, together with 4foreverything, has reinvented the concept of trade fair flooring with a disruptive proposal: Retile Floor, a sustainable, modular, and recyclable platform specifically designed to reduce the environmental impact of temporary installations.

A real commitment to the circular economy

Traditionally, the events industry has faced a major environmental challenge: the massive generation of waste, especially from materials like trade fair carpet. It is estimated that thousands of square meters of carpet are used and discarded each year at trade shows, congresses, and exhibitions.

Retile Floor was created precisely to reverse this trend. It is made entirely from recycled trade fair carpet, which, once recovered, is transformed into modular polypropylene tiles. These tiles are also fully recyclable at the end of their life cycle, allowing them to be reintroduced into the production process and closing the loop within a circular economy model.

Positive environmental impact: less CO₂, more future

One of the most significant aspects of Retile Floor is its reduction of up to 83% in carbon footprint compared to traditional wooden platforms. This represents a decrease of 16.4 kg of CO₂ per square meter installed, highlighting its role as a strategic solution in the fight against climate change.

This improvement not only contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but also aligns with ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) policies that more and more companies are incorporating into their operations.

Practical, safe, and adaptable design

The sustainable trade fair flooring comes in recycled 50×50 cm tiles, making storage, transport, and installation easier. Its design requires no adhesives, nails, or tools, allowing for quick and safe implementation—ideal for fast-paced event setups and teardowns.

Additionally, its raised structure allows for cable routing underneath, enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of the exhibition space. These tiles comply with safety regulations, including fire resistance, and can be customized with decorative vinyls or coverings to seamlessly integrate into any creative concept.

An example of collaborative innovation

The development of this sustainable flooring is the result of a strategic collaboration between two leaders in their respective sectors: HMY Group, a global leader in sustainable retail solutions, and 4foreverything, an experiential marketing and event production agency committed to innovation and sustainability—thus creating Retile Floor.

Towards a new standard in the events industry

Retile Floor is not only an innovative product but also represents a new standard of environmental responsibility in the trade fair industry. It meets the demands of brands, organizers, and attendees who value eco-conscious events and consistency in sustainable policies.

In a context where purchasing and participation decisions are increasingly influenced by sustainability values, choosing solutions like Retile Floor is not only an ecological decision but also a strategic one.
