New Dia “La plaza” supermarket design

The new “La Plaza” supermarket concept we developed for DIA matches the brand’s most prized value: being close to customers. They bank on an intimate shopping experience, paying special attention to fresh products. The sections that are most strengthened with this new supermarket design are the fruit section, the butchery, the charcuterie section and the fish section.

Our work began by drawing up an exhaustive inventory of all current supermarket furniture and equipment from different suppliers to reuse it and avoid unnecessary costs for the customer.

The furniture was complemented with elements that were missing or worn out. This furniture was treated again, new equipment was manufactured, etc. This process made the most of resources, in order to obtain quality parts at a moderate price.

What is more, with the new supermarket concept, the consumer visiting a “La Plaza” space should feel like they are at a traditional market. We play with the lighting, the textures, the colors, the visual communication… the finest details are cared for, to give way to the concept of a quality, fresh product.

We worked hand-in-hand with DIA to improve the shopping experience for consumers at all of its supermarkets.
